Cruise parking, Fort Lauderdale

We are travelling by car from Canada south, and have a cruise booked for 11 days out of Port Everglades. I priced parking at $15.00 per day, and looked at leaving the car at the one hotel I know of with fenced parking, but the cost of a room is $295 per night. I think we might need to stay before and after the cruise to use the parking/shuttle privileges. Is there a more cost effective yet secure way to store our car? Our ship leaves from Pier 28, I was told. Thanks for any ideas.

There are several different long term parking lot near the port. Daily rate varies from around $8/day to $15/day depending on parking lot's distance from port but going rate, as you've found, the most convenient run about $15/day.

Check out the following:

A simple google search for "Port Everglades Parking" will bring up lots of links.

I notice that you've tagged your post with panama canal and holland america, so I'm assuming you're doing the Zuiderdam cruise with the partial transit. We did that last year and enjoyed it. We drove to Ft. Lauderdale and used Gold Coast parking. Absolutely no problems with them; when we disembarked, they picked us up within 10 minutes of our calling them and had our car ready and waiting to drive off the lot. IIRC, the 11 days of parking was around $110-115. If you paid by credit card there was a small extra charge (maybe $5?); we paid cash. http://goldcoastcruiseandflyparking.com/parking/

Park N Go is excellent! Safe, secure parking with very frequent shuttles to & from Port Everglades. Save money by prepaying. https://www.bookparkngo.com/

When are you cruising?
We have a $239.00 group rate at the Hilton Ft Lauderdale Marina (we are a military reunion) and we have discounted parking during the hotel stay and during the cruise.

But this is for Feb 2017.

We have excess rooms and are willing to share our group rate.
