RC Monarch of the Seas -LA to Baja 2/13 - anyone else going?
I just posted the details on the previous post, but we've just decided last minute to take this cruise..anybody else going? It sounds like fun, even though the weather might be a little cold.
Has anyone take the Monarch of the Seas...pros or cons?

Have you tried Cruise Critic? It will match you up with the people already signed up to take the same cruise. It's kind of fun, writing each other and then meeting on the ship. I have taken the Monarch and I like her. I've been pleased with RCCL's ships, however, Celebrity remains my favorite.

We took the Monarch 4 night sailing 2 or 3 years ago, had a great time. Very relaxing, no complaints. Catalina Island was my favorite stop. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. We went in December, needed a jacket but it wasn't too bad. As mentioned above, try the roll call threads on cruise critic's message boards, you'll find plenty of others on your sailing. Have a great trip

thanks for the advice...I never thought of cruise critic for this info...I just thought it rated the ships/trips.
yes, we figure we'll need jackets since we live in So. Calif. and have been to Catalina in the winter. What was Ensenada like weather wise?

Ensenada was warm, at least when we were there, no jacket needed, t-shirt weather but we did not get off the ship. If you are into sea life there are seals that hang out just in front of the boat, you may see some swimming around the ship too when docked.
