Hello Everyone:

Has anyone had any experiences with the

Ship Nordic Empress and the 11 day Southern

Caribbean Cruise it takes you on? Also how

is the Oceanview Cabin?

Please let me know if you have any

Thanks in Advance.

I personally have had no experience with this ship. My friend did, on a cruise to Brudmuda. She had sailed other RCC ships. She said compared to the other ships it was very dated. It is an older ship. I suppose that is worthy info to take into consideration. Some folks prefer new. It was just her opinion.

My hubby and I cruised on the Nordic Empress for the New Year back in 2000 and enjoyed the cruise. We didn't think the food was all that great though. Believe it or not, we were just on the Carnival Fantasy for this past New Year and thought the food on Fantasy far surpassed the Nordic Empress.

I was on the Nordic Empress 4 years ago - it was just okay and rather worn. Unless it has been significantly refurbished I would be worried. Agree that food was just o.k. (I certainly didn't gain any weight!) - Unless you are just getting one heck of a bargain, I would look elsewhere.

I got an email from a friend who is on the ship right now (she gets off tomorrow) - she loves the ship and indicated that they are refurbishing her and that her cabin "is all new".

Cruiser - LOL. I was tired and probably should not have responded. Had a long flight on Friday.

Just spoke to my friend who got off the ship on Saturday (and not Sunday like I thought). She thought the ship was lovely and in good condition. She didn't think highly of the food.
