I was talking to the cruise director about funny things that have ahhapened on Carnival Cruise Lines. He told me a story, that he insists is true, here it is:<BR><BR>A few guys got drunk and started hanging off the end of the ship and one Guy decided to jump off and swim to shore. They were a few miles from Saint Thomas, VI. The other drunk guys told ship officals that their friend had jumped. They stopped the boat and looked for the jumper but could not find him. Eventually they had to get moving and turned it over to the Coast Guard.<BR><BR>A few days later one of the drunks heard from the friend who had jumped. He had swam to shore and took the next flight home, without contacting the cruiseline or the Coast Guard.

A friend of mine was on a Carnival ship about a year or so ago. They were docked in Nassau. A drunk jumped off the ship into the water.<BR>Rumor had it he said he wanted to go for a swim. <BR>

So this drunk jumps off the ship fully dressed with passport, credit cards, etc,though no luggage, shows up at the airport where they sell him a ticket no questions asked???

These stories rate right up there with the same old tired ones the Cruise Directors tell every cruise--how that on the last cruise someone put all their clothes in the luggage, sit it outside the cabin door and the next morning got up and had nothing to wear except a towel--- and naturally, they couldn't let them take ships property off the ship, etc, etc.
