10 days - Germany, Prague, Austria, Italy

Hi,

We are couple, with 2.5 years old son who is always happy while in traveling. We are interested in Photographic locations, so trying to cover places with beautiful architectures as well as landscapes. We have less time, so it would look rush. Before going into daily details, I would want to get suggestion if this is good route and feasible. This is planned for first week of September.
Day-1 Reach Munich at 4:10 PM. Munich Airport to Prague by leoexpress bus. Overnight stay
at Prague.
Day-2 Full day at Prague. Night at Prague
Day-3 Half day in Prague. Leave for Salzburg by noon. Night at Salzburg
Day-4 Full day at Salzburg
Day-5 Pick rental car from Freiilassing and see around Salzburg (probably Ramsau and Koningsee, but I need to work on this). Night at Salzburg
Day-6 Leave Salzburg in rental car, visit Hallstat (or we can keep Hallstat on Day-5, if that loop can work), Bruck (Grosssglockner Hochstrasse), night at Lienz
Day-7 Drive towards Toblach (via SS48/SS51), Cortina
Day-8 Places around Cortina. Night at Cortina
Day-9 Take Grand Dolomite Highway (SS241/SS48), Bolzano and stay at Brenner or Innsbruck
Day-10 Mittenwald, Garmish, Hohenschwangau and then reach Marienbrücke to photograph Neuschwanstein Castle (not taking inside tour), reach Munich and night stay near Airport, probably Freising ?
Day-11 Fly out from Munich Airport.

Any suggestion or detail would be helpful for us. Except our flight, nothing is booked yet so anything can be changed based on, whatever suggestion I will get.

Thanks

It's just a list of places popular with tourists from overseas and therefore rather crowded (except the Lienz - Toblach - Cortina - Falzarego Pass - Canazei - Lago Carezza - Bozen itinerary, full of German and Italian people).
I suppose you know that you will bypass a lot of other gems, impossible to visit in your time frame.
But there is nothing wrong with your plan. If you like these kind of trips, do it! It's perfectly feasible.
BTW:
I wouldn't sleep at Brenner, but rather at Sterzing (nice medieval town with nothing else to see) or Innsbruck (medieval city with museums, castle, etc.).
Bolzano/Bozen is a nice town with a medieval center and the Oetzi museum. If you have no time for all that, you may go directly from Canazei to Ortisei/Val Gardena (very scenic Pass roads) - Brixen - Sterzing - Brenner.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will check, if I can made some adjustments. My initial plan was, to take car drive for all my time, so that I can go even to places, where train route is not there. I would like to photograph few architures in Prague, Salzburg and Neuschwanstein Castle. For rest of places, I am still checking and open to make any better change.
If I skip "Grand Dolomite Highway (SS241/SS48), Bolzano", for "Canazei to Ortisei/Val Gardena (very scenic Pass roads) - Brixen - Sterzing - Brenner", will I be seeing equally beautiful landscapes/scenery ?

There is too much movement (checking into/out of hotels) for me, but again, if this is what you like to do...I might skip Italy and enjoy more time in Austria, but I am biased because I live in Austria.

In September there are Almabtrieb throughout Austria and Bavaria. This is the celebration of a safe alpine summer for the livestock, usually cattle. The cattle are driven down from the pastures, decorated, and paraded throughout the villages. Some villages celebrate in grand style with a festival; your little one might like to see decorated cows up close, and you may like the photography.

In the Salzkammergut, consider taking the Schafbergbahn up and down; beautiful scenery for you and a fun train ride for your son.

I hope this is helpful.
