11 days to spend on the Greek Islands - need help figuring out where to spend them.

I'm planning on spending 11 days in the Greek Islands in late June - early July. I definitely want to go to Mykonos and Santorini, but am having trouble picking another island to go to - there are so many that seem to be so great! Can you provide suggestions of islands to visit for people in their late 20s who would like to do some relaxing on beautiful beaches and some touring and people-watching? Another criteria is travel time - we don't want to spend a ton of time travelling between islands.

Mykonos and Santorini are both in the Cycladic Island group. You can do some research to see what else might interest you in the area. Ios, Paros, Tinos, Milos, Naxos, Folegandros, Andros, Syros, Amorgos, Anafi and Sifnos are the names of the others. Some are accessible from Mykonos and some from Santorini. Use www.gtp.gr to see which. The summer schedules aren't posted yet, but you can at least start planning a route.

If you want an all-out party island for 20-somethings, that would be Ios, very close to Santorini.

If you want something quieter but with enough to occupy you for a few days, either Paros or Naxos will work.

If you want quiet, go to Anafi.

Also, just 75 miles and a couple of hours south of Santorini is Crete, accessible by ferry in the summer on a daily basis. Lots to do there--hiking, swimming, archaeological sites, museums, small mountain villages, beachfront resorts, something for everyone.

Keep in mind that the less popular islands might not have ferry access every day, so you'll have to plan accordingly.

I agree with the above and would add if you want a quiet place, nice nude or not beach and hiking on an island easy to get to but not touristy try Amorgos near Naxos.

Crete's a very large island, so if you go for 4 days I recommend you pick one region and stick to your choice. I like the southern coastline around Matala and Agia Galini.
