2 days in Barcelona - Hotel Specific Advice

I will be in Barcelona for a couple of days staying at Hotel NH Calderon (Rambla Catalunya 26) later this month. Any idea how much is the distance and taxi fare from the airport? Any suggestions for shopping/walking/local market areas close by the hotel?

Take the Aerobus from the airport directly to Placa de Catalunya, which is the large square in the center of town about 2 blocks from your hotel.

5.90 €, almost as fast as a taxi.

Markets and walking areas are all around your hotel, especially on Passeig de Gracia and the Ramblas. For sure check out the Gaudi architecture on PdG and the Boqueria market on Ramblas. And many many more

http://www.aerobusbcn.com/index.php/en.html for the Aerobus ... just remember whether you're in T1 or T2, and note there are a couple of stops prior to PdC.

Rambla de Catlunya is one of the loveliest streets in Barcelona.
Shops of all kinds minutes from the hotel. . Huge supermarket in El Corte Ingles department store on Placa de Catalunya..

Taxi fare? Depends on things.
Read about them here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0TA...dtRm9iUkk/edit
