2 DAYS IN VIENNA AND 1 DAY IN INNSBRUCK

I are travelling to INNSBRUCK AND VIENNA in the first week of May with my wife. We are not much into museums. We would love to explore the night life too. We are in Innsbruck for 1 night and 2 nights in Vienna. As such can somebody guide us how to see the best of Innsbruck and Vienna in 3 days.

How about going to a bookstore or a library to look at some guidebooks to see what interests you?

Hello Asish

Haven't been to Innsbruck, but Vienna has so much to see that you'll barely scratch the surface in two days. A ride around the city on 'The Ring' (tram) will give you an overview and let you get a feel for the layout of the city. Make sure you pick up a city map from the Tourism Office. They are also very helpful staff there.

Perhaps if you do a search of this site for 'Vienna' and 'Innsbruck' separately, you'll be able to read trip reports that others have written.

Happy travels, Di

we did the hop on and off bus in vienna - not as good as london one but still fine

we loved vienna

walk the graben area - pedestrian
st stephens is great church

we went out to the woodlands in the hills of vienna - easy train and bus trip
we walked down from the last stop and visited all the little villages

you get great views of vienna from the hills - the danube canal and the whole of the city
ask the locals ( a waitress told us about this easy daytrip) for the bus/train route

Vienna - Schoenbrun Palace, ride the ferris wheel for the views of Vienna, Mozart's house. Eat pasteries in the famous cafes. You really only have a day and a half because you have to spend time getting from Innsbruck to Vienna.
