2 weeks in Europe - where to go?
My wife and I traveled to Europe a few years ago for a whirlwind tour of Europe. We were gone for 3 weeks. Went to England (London, Bath, York), Amsterdam, Brussels, Switzerland (Berner oberland), France (Cairns, Paris previous), Monocco, Rome, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Germany (Romantic road).
We are thinking of returning for 2 weeks and do another whirlwind tour. Thinking possibly tring to visit Finland, Norway, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Greece, and/or other cities missed previously. We're not set on any path and could delete/add places that we really wanted to see or were steered away from. We travel mostly via train, but can also use airlines.
What key things/places would you go and see? We usually like a mix of the main touristy places, and memorable sites. Museums are usually out unless really awesome. Restaurants are usually on the fly.

Six countries spread the entire breadth of Europe in 2 weeks is almost impossible and nutty IMHO. Every time you travel from one major city/country to another will eat up most of a day so you really have about 7+ days for actual sightseeing.
But since you did such an itinerary before - just plan like you did then.

I'm the sort who does these whirlwind trips (usually out of necessity).
Now:
"Thinking possibly tring to visit Finland, Norway, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Greece, and/or other cities missed previously. ... We travel mostly via train, but can also use airlines."
I think that you should first investigate flight options on whichbudget.com. These countries are so far apart that you'll at least have to fly between some of these.

Since you've done four trips to Europe in the past, you must know best yourself how much you want to cover. But it might help to get better answers if you told us where you went on each of those other four trips, to know what to do this time.

AisleSeat, I can go either way... in 2003, we stayed in 6 cities over 9 nights, and my husband thought this was the "most relaxing" vacation yet..! I think it was really b/c we stayed outdoors, more open spaces (Rhine/Switzerland) than all 'urban'.
