3 Weeks honeymoon in Europe
Guys, me and my wife going to have our first honeymoon together to Europe on 6th of Feb until 26th of Feb, our main interest are mostly just food and scenery and europe town experience.
we are not too much into Museums, it bored us to death, we know its february, many indoors activity, but we basically just want to eat eat, buy stuff, eat eat, buy souvenirs, eat again, shop, look at scenery again, you get the drill..
and then our budget for the whole trip is roughly around US$4500 ( we bought plane ticket already ), so US$4500 is for train and food and souvenirs shopping.
so anyway, we have 20 days in total, ( minus our flight ) so total experience of around 17 days. we tried not to include too much cities because we want to relax.. so here is what i have in mind, let me know what you guys think?
7Feb-8Feb (2nights) - Amsterdam & Haarlem, i will arrive Amsterdam on 7th morning
9Feb-11Feb (3nights) - Ghent & Bruges ( from Amsterdam by train, and base camp at Ghent )
12Feb- Amsterdam (1night) ( Ajax game ) <- i have to go back to Amsterdam from Ghent because it's the only Ajax home game on February and i'm a long time Ajax fans since 2001
13Feb-15Feb (3nights) - Dresden ( From Amsterdam by plane )
16Feb-17Feb (2nights) - Prague
18Feb-21Feb (4nights) - Salzburg & Hallstat
22Feb-25Feb (4nights) - Munich <- mainly just shopping and eating and i wanna visit the Allianz arena too
26Feb - Munich -> Jakarta
what do you guys think? is this a good itinerary? i am so confused between Hungary or Prague for 16 and 17 Feb too..
please share your thought!

Scrap the Brugge and Gent excursion and just stay in Amsterdam. 7 and 8 Feb you can scrap because of jetlag and getting your bearings, so those days are lost. So then, realistically, you only have the 12th in Amsterdam, and that is taken up mostly by the game, after which you head for Dresden.
In general, you're moving too much. You hardly have time in each place. And why all the time in Salzburg? I'd stay far more nights in Prague. 3 nights in Dresden seems excessive given the rest of your hurried schedule.
Also remember, it's winter. You won't get the romantic scenes that you expected perhaps. If it is this february, and the winter continues like it has in Central Europe, expect delays, tough conditions for being out of doors etc. Plan accordingly!

@menachem
thanks for the reply!
we have no expectation what condition it will be, so we plan according to the places we are given a good review from many blogs, and we tried to minimized it, and turns out it's still too much.
Actually Gent is not a must, as we initially just wanted to see Brugge, but then we thought why not stop at Gent? as they say Brugge city is super wonderful.
so here's what we think after a short discussion. we will leave Belgium this time, and just visit there next time we go to Europe.
7Feb-12Feb - Amsterdam and places nearby ( 6 nights )
13Feb-14Feb - Dresden ( 2 nights )
15Feb-18Feb - Prague ( 4 nights )
19Feb-21Feb - Salzburg & Hallstat ( 3 nights )
22Feb-25Feb - Munich ( 4 nights ) , we also plan to visit Garmisch-Partenkirchen or the Eagle nest during the time we have in Munich, which one is more worth to visit?
26Feb-27Feb - Munich back to hometown
This leaves us mostly with 4 nights at the bigger city ( Prague, Munich and Amsterdam )

Hi twefoju, delighted to see an Ajax fan, as so am I, for a long time
And I'm joyful each time I see a honeymoon trip too. God bless all the loving couples!
You're wise to cut out Brugge and Gent, they are nice towns but too many destinations for your trip.
Your itinerary is much better now, but you should take into consideration that in winter the days are very short in Europe, you don't have many hours of daylight, and shops can close early. 4 nights in big cities is not much, and 2 nights for Dresden is not ample either, especially if you deduce the inter-city transportation time, which will be a lot. What you listed is doable, just expect that you will only see a small part of the cities you visit.

On the other hand visiting cities in the dark is nice too.
I have been to Dresden a dozen times, but only twice during daylight. Yet I love the city. Same for Praha, the last 4 times were during darkness. Ah. no at 5 am it was alight when I went to the airport ;-)
Itinerary seems ok to me now - some adjustments maybe but seems ok to me.
We loved Garmish, we didn't go to the eagle's nest. Not interested to go in the footsteps of Adolf.

for lots of good info on trains and cheap fares check www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.
also look into a Eurail Select Saver Pass -is first class if over 25 and that's a BIG plus IME.
