Airport lines/Security at Lisbon Airport (Exiting Portugal)

For folks that have recently departed Portugal for home via Lisbon airport, wonder if you can advise on your experience there and what time of day? I've been seeing some headlines in the news that seemed to imply some stress and long lines, perhaps at security (but not sure if there is a separate line for passport control that might be slow?). I'm wondering if the standard 3 hours before flight is enough, has been too much, or if I should get there even more than 3 hours early? We have a 9:25am flight, so 3 hours is already painful, but will do what is necessary to be sure we have a smooth exit in a couple of weeks! TIA.

We left Portugal today. June 5th. Had a 12:45 flight on Delta. We arrived at the airport about 9:30am. Lines were long but went very smoothly. Got through security and passport control in plenty of time. Good luck
