Andalusia Help (Granada Ronda Malaga)
Hi - we will be driving from Lisbon to Cordoba Monday February 19th and will stay that afternoon, night (at the Maimonedes) and next morning. We will go to Granada that afternoon and stay the night. We will still be in Spain from that Wednesday morning until Friday afternoon when we have to return to Lisbon. I realize we just don't have enough time to scratch the surface. One of the places we want to see is Ronda, so I thought we'd just go there for the last 3 days and take day trips from there. The only thing is, I've seen on this forum that the roads can be tricky to Ronda. So now I'm thinking we should make Ronda a day trip and stay somewhere else like Malaga.I really need help. Also, there are 3 adults (wife, my grown son and me) and we need a hotel room for the evening in Granada. I'd like to stay somewhere nice (Queen or King and rollaway if one room - not 3 singles) for less than130 e.
Thanks

I think it should be ok, as Malaga is the main airport for that region and its not that far away. We always hire a car and wonder off. But to be on safe side put Nerja in and see other peoples replies to get a varied opinion.
Have a lovely trip wherever you go..

As others have mentioned, Nerja is lovely, but doen't make a good base for exploring the hill towns near Ronda. Ronda is a beautiful small city, and there are no problems navigating the roads. True, driving to some of the more remote white villages like Zahara involve driving on some high, winding mountain roads, but it's not really dangerous.
