McLaurie, I never even knew there was an original until I just looked up the remake on the All Movie Guide website. It sounds great and I'd love to see it. <BR><BR>What we saw this weekend was just a preview of the remake but any film with Donald Sutherland and Charlize Theron can't be bad...can it?

I tried to scan this posting to make sure these movies were not already mentioned, and didn't see two of my favorites:<BR><BR>Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell (Gina Lolobrigida, Telly Savalas) has lots of wonderful hilltown views (been wondering what region) and an amusing plot.<BR><BR>Summertime (Katharine Hepburn) is entirely in Venice. Kind of over-dramatic but beautiful views of Venice.<BR><BR>

This thread started a long time ago, but wanted to add my two cents:

Johnny Stecchino is hilarious. My all time favorite movie (and Italy's highest grossing film when it came out) It made me want to visit Palermo. (Going this fall)

Someone on here confused the description of &quot;Everything is Wonderful&quot; (this is not the title) with &quot;Everybody's fine&quot; (titled &quot;Tutti Stanno Bene&quot a touching film.

Also the title is &quot;Il Mostro&quot; meaning &quot;The Monster&quot;. Very funny Benigni film.

Non ci resta che Piangere was a fun film but may be hard to find.

A fun fantasy film is &quot;The Icycle Thief&quot; (not to be confused with The Bicycle Thief-an Italian classic film)
