Apartment in Rome?

Apartment in Rome?
I am searching Rome apartments for 3 sisters in October. I've identified several, but can't find any reviews on this one.

It appears to be on a cul-de-sac between Navona and the river. We generally liked that locale, though I don't know this specific area. Ground floor isn't ideal, but being on a cul de sac may mitigate the usual concerns. The price is great: 110eu/day for 3 people (so good it makes me wonder?).
Can anyone give me feedback on the apartment or the area in general? Thanks.

I didn't know Rome had cul-de-sacs! I guess maybe it's a dead-end alley? I don't have a review of this place but would be a little wary that they don't show you the rest of the apartment. I was also wondering if someone would be on the couch as it apears there's only 2 beds.

We've stayed right by P. Navonna and by Campo dei Fiori and love th area that you're in. Just make sure the windows lock, since you're on the ground floor. You won't be able to sleep with your windows open.

Although I don't know that specific street (it is not shown on any of the have dozen maps that I have), the area can't be beat. I love nearby Via dei Coronari, it is such a rich stroll.
And the area to the north of that street and east of Via della Scrofa around San Antonio dei Portoghesi we discovered to be very dense with flavor and amenities and very local and also relatively quiet. Undiscovered in a way and unnamed for me so far (is it part of Ponte Parione or called something else?). It seemed like Trastevere without all the tourists and graffiti.
And for a wander around the Centro and over to the Vatican, and with Piazza Navona as a neighbor, how very perfectly located in Rome. A bit of a stretch to the Forum or Trastevere, but we would have walked those routes. You could choose between several of the best streets in Rome.
And the apartment looks well, almost too good for the money. AC in centro? Wow. Although you will likely not need it in October that much if at all. Makes the first floor window issue moot. In that regard, I'd check for a window in the bedroom. Overall the apartment might be dark, but if you are out all day (and days are shorter in October) then also not an issue.

Yes to all you said. I found the street on mappy.com. That's how I knew it was a cul de sac.
It does look good. I like to have reviews just to be sure there's not a loud disco or something across the streete. But I guess somebody has to be the first reviewer. I'll check it out as best I can and then present it to the sisters for a decision.

Why don'y you ask the owner for references or guest reviews?? I'm an owner and I would not think that odd at all. Not the same-of course-as unbias reviews...but..at least you'll know if they are happy to provide reviews from recent guests, probably many were happy 
Also...ask them how long it had been available for rent...may explain why the price is a little low and you haven't found online reviews yet...perhaps this is the first year renting it out...looks fairly recently renvated, so that could be it.

Those are all good points. We have subsequently upped our budget a little, but this unit is still on my list. I will contact them and ask about reviews and new-ness. Thanks.
This is the first trip we've considered apartments. Unless I'm reading them wrong, the apartments are an amazing value compared to Rome hotels. I'll probably be posting another thread soon with several apartments and related questions....and asking for more opinions! That's what I love about Fodors.

It does seem surprisingly inexpensive for the area.
We looked at lots of apartments for 3 people in the centro storico area for a trip in late February/early March. We ended up renting a 2 BR in the ghetto from realrome, having decided we could not put our teen age son on a sofa in a one BR and enjoy the apartment. You and your sisters sound more flexible about the sleeping arrangements.
I don't know what other agencies you are checking but realrome is good for relatively inexpensive places and gets consistently positive reviews on this and other forums.
In general I think you are right that apartments are a great value relative to hotels especially for a travel group of 3 people.
I could not get mappy.com to cooperate in finding the Via del Monttonaccio but from your description it is a good central location. i would worry about street noise in a ground level apartment, though

Since I posted this thread I've added what seems like hundreds of apartments to the list. Not really, but it IS getting long.
I'm getting lots of "not availables" for our chosen timeframe. We may change our dates. In other words, everything is up in the air right now.

Excellent location near Piazza Navona.
The same apartment was mis-represented by another agency with regard to distance from sites.

No, we're already concerned about one sister's ability to keep up with us. She would probably back out if she heard we had to climb 5 floors. You are referring to the "split level", right?

You may want to check out www.smallandeleganthotels.com/. We found really nice places complete with stocked kitchens in both London and Edinburgh. They have places all over Europe and beyond.
