Apartments/Hotels in Paris

My wife and I and my 12 year old son are planning a vacation in Paris in June. Does anybody have any recommendations, especially for apartment agencies or hotels, but also any other sights or helpful hints about Paris? Thanks.

I had an excellent experience with vacationinparis.com. The apartment was nice and well represented on their website. The entire transaction was handled in US$. They responded promptly to my e-mails.

We rented #185 in the 7th.

You'll find that the recent Paris Apartment thread has a good selection of apartments and agencies used by other posters.

Take a look and then come back and I'm sure we'd all chime in to answer specific apartment questions.

diana172, I looked at your posts and it appears that you might be advertising this apartment site, which is not allowed on the forum.

Being that this is the OP's first and only post here, I'd recommend doing some research, then coming back with some specific questions on certain apts or agencies.

My wife and I rented a splendid, ground-floor apartment -- one bedroom, garden terrace, completely equipped -- in the 15th. Bakery across the street, abundant good restaurants, supermarket, metro station half-block away. Found it through VRBO. If you have not checked out Vacation Rentals By Owners, you are missing something really good. Sure beat any hotel we have ever known in Paris.

We have a whole apartment thread addressing this. And I have a hotel thread for both, right bank hotels and left bank hotels. All three threads should be among the first 50 threads. If, not then go on to the next 50 threads. Happy Travels!
