B&B in Ennis
We are thinking of staying in Ennis one or two nights as a base to see the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Bunratty. Can anyone recommend a good B&B or castle?

We stayed at Rose Cottage B&B on Turnpike Rd. in Ennis. B&B was fine. I can't say the same for the Pub food.
In Ennis we usually stay in a Hotel (either Temple Gate or Old Ground). The Old Ground has some pretty good deals going on now - they've just added about 50-rooms.

We stayed at the Rose Cottage based on a recommendation here and we did not like it at all. The location was decent, but the pub below was smokey and it all seemed a little dingy. We left early. We went to the visitors bureau and inquired about lodging and they gave us a list of many places, almost all cheaper and they said much nicer than where we were staying. Didn't try any because we decided to leave the area a day early. But I would definitely NOT recommend Rose Cottage. Try contacting the visitors bureau or try checking on the Ireland Yes website or Ireland Expert web site. Very informative.
