BB or Apt. in Rome
how can I find a clean, safe apt. or BB in Rome and Florence for May? I don't see where people on this forum have many apartments discussed.
Has anyone stayed in Hotel Quirinale? Is it worth almost $300/night?

Check out www.slovtrav.com. There are tons of apartment listings on there. We used sleepinitaly.com for our Rome apartment.
By the way, there has been numerous postings about Rome apartments on this board. If you do a search for "Rome apartment" or "Florence apartments" you shoul be able to find quite a few.
Good luck!

Just to correct the typo above: http://www.slowtrav.com
Is the $300/night for a double room at Quirinale? I haven't stayed there, but know where it is, and have read reviews, and my opinion - it's not worth that for either the location or the room.

I am going to use sleepinitaly.com for Rome this March and thus far all of my arrangements and correspondence with Giulia have been satisfactory.
I rented one of the San Lorenzo apartments from Gianna at sleepinginflorence.com a couple of years ago and was very pleased with them.

I to am using www.sleepinitaly.com for an apartment in Sept. I found the prices to be reasonable and Guilia responding quickly.
Statia- if you do not mind asking what apartment are you renting? I am renting a fairly new one in their listings( Via della Minerva) close to the Pantheon and have not seen any reviews on thus far.
I just thought i would ask in case it happened to be the same one by coincedence!!

Ivitaly, we are renting the via di Panico apartment which is right by the pedestrian bridge at Castel Sant'Angelo.
Have you tried looking on slowtrav.com for reviews? I found two there for mine, but it might be harder to find something if the property is a newer listing.
Enjoy your trip!
