Berlin or Budapest Travel
We are planning our trip for next summer and of course limited on time. We can either see Budapest or Berlin. Which city would be better for a two day stay?
Thanks!

I've been to and love both. Depending on what interests you the most I would pick Berlin since there is much more to see and do there than in Budapest.
Unfortunately, not knowing your interests makes this recommendation somewhat more difficult.

I've done several one or 2 day trips to Berlin and have enjoyed each visit. There is much more to do and see for future visits but you can't go wrong in Berlin.
A bigger question is from where are you coming and to where are you going. If you will be in Dresden beforehand, then 2hr train ride to Berlin makes more sense than Budapest. If Vienna, then it's a different story.

Thanks you all for the responses.
We are actually making a trip loop starting and ending in Frankfurt. So after we visit Vienna do we go to Budapest and then Prague? Or Vienna to Prague and then Berlin? I realize that two days in any major city is just going to give us a favor for the area. We can always go back next time.

I assume you're taking the train from Vienna to Prague, in which case Berlin or Dresden make more sense than Budapest. The last time I rented a car in Germany there wasn't any drop off charge as long as we're still within the German border, so if that's still the case you can pick up your car in Berlin/Dresden and drop off in Frankfurt.
