Best fares summer sale to Europe

Bestfares.com is having a summer airfare special: 30 European Cities On Sale From $459 RT Kids $398 Depart May 31-Sept. 1, '04.

I'm tempted to join, but does anyone know what airlines/flights the sale applies to? I'm shopping for a NY-Rome nonstop for late May. Thanks!

The "AB" part of the code for that special indicates that it's British Airways - Bestfares typically reverses the two-letter airline ID code when posting their specials. Sounds pretty good - don't know if it's an exclusive Bestfares/BA deal or if BA is offering this to the general public as well.

I agree--likely BA and also likely is connecting thru London. Check closely the return may involve change of airports in London with a possible overnite. We did that last Oct. and it was a hassle.

Yes, it does look like most, if not all, of these specials are on BA.

Bobthenavigator: Did you know ahead of time that you would have to change airports (and stay overnight)? Sounds awful.

Hi Sera, Have you tried looking at www.airfare.com? I just booked my HM tickets going from LAX to Paris, then from Rome to LAX for only $665 (w/ tax). The flights are on American Airlines and since we're flying from Los Angeles, there's a layover in NYC. That rate was by far cheaper than any other site I looked at. Hope this helps!
