Canal view hotel in Venice

Looking for favorite hotels on the Grand Canal. Have been to Venice a few times and would like to stay on the canal this time.
3 or 4 star would be great!
Thanks......

We liked the Marconi when we stayed there in 2000.

Hi

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Continental a few years back and we had two big windows facing Canal Grande. I have posted a trip report with a review of the hotel on my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com/italy_venice.htm

This may be a 5 star, not sure, its prices are certainly 5 star.

Consider room #510 has a big balcony and is on the top floor

Monaco and Grand Hotel

The Gritti and Danelli, run by Sheraton, are also on the Grand Canal, I think they are 4 stars not 5.

The Grand Principe is, oh, maybe 3 stars and had rooms with terraces on the canal.
The GP is walking distance from the train station, just to give you an idea of location. Nice place. Friendly service. Huge breakfast.
