I liked this guy's review of the tote bag and his reasoning.

Any idea whether this is compact / small enough to qualify as "the personal item" one is allowed in Europe (in addition to 21" suitcase)??

It looks pretty good, but I think it is probably way too big to be considered a personal item. It's really a small carryon. It looks a lot bigger if you go to the Ampac website, actually, but even they don't list the dimensions, which is really not very useful for a manufacturer not to tell you the size.

I purchased this bag for my last trip and I do not like it. I had another nylon bag that I loved, but it wore out. The new bag is heavy and does not fit well over my shoulder and there is no extra strap for shoulder wear.

good points,h2, I especially don't want it if it doesn't go over my shoulder.

The size of the tote is 15"x12"x5-1/2" and the weight is about 2 lb. The length of the handle is 24" and it has clearance of 9-1/2". I hope this will answer most of the question. Any further question can be address to us.

re the snot sucker...wasn't that incredible?! I was grossed out (and I'm a nurse. Granted, a wussy, easily grossed out nurse).

I must be inured to gross weirdness. Or maybe it's that I'm a recent convert to Sinus Rinsing and appreciate its little miracle. I couldn't care less about the tote but ran to look at the snot sucker...I think they should get a prettier name for it and write more charming copy.

cigalechanta, I never heard of neti pot until a month ago when they revived a thread on FlyerTalk about blown-out sinuses.

I had to leave a London theatre last year because I was coughing so bad, and I coughed all the way home to America and through Christmas, etc. Besides every day at home, I definitely will use the rinse on all my trips, especially on the airplane. Good stuff!
