Central London to LHR or LGW on Dec 26?
Sorry for posting this minor question, but I have had no luck connecting to the tfl.gov.uk website for the past two days.... server keeps timing out. The Gatwick Airport website can't get through to TfL either. And I need to book a ticket for Dec. 26 from either LHR or LGW. in the next day or so.
I will be departing from Bloomsbury.
1. LHR: Does the tube run on a limited (Sunday?) schedule on Dec 26?
2, LGW: Does the Gatwick Express run on Dec 26? Other options?
Thanks!

Can you see this?

I'd forget Gatwick (that's not TFL in any case):

Thank you.
For the first link I am still getting:
"The server at tfl.gov.uk is taking too long to respond."
Thanks for the Southern Railway link for LGW.
On the Southern Railway webpage it says there will be limited Gatwick Express service on Dec. 26. However,on the link to the Gatwick Express website (URL on the airport website), it says "Please note no trains will operate on 26 December. A very limited bus service will operate between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport only. "
I wonder why under "By Train" on the airport's "To London" there is also a (timing out) link to TfL?
At this point -- in the absence of other information -- LHR seems a safer bet.

I think you may have missed the word "bus" in this:
"Christmas Day and Boxing Day: No train service on Gatwick Express, Southern or Thameslink on Monday 25 or Tuesday 26 December. On 26 December, a limited Gatwick Express bus service will operate between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport only, please allow extra time for your journey and seek alternative routes if possible. Queuing systems will be in place at both London Victoria and Gatwick Airport and you may not be able to board the first bus."
You will probably need to take the Tube or a car service to Heathrow.
"Heathrow Airport: There are no Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect servies to Heathrow Airport"
http://www.nationalrail.co.uk says it doesn't have info for Dec 26 yet.
