CGD airport and SNCF

We are flying in to Paris on American Airlines (Terminal 2A). How close is that to the SNCF area? I need to pick up train tix for the next day (already have confirmation). Can do it at Gare Lyon next day, but would prefer to get it out of the way.

Can do it at Gare Lyon next day

Yes, you can pick up tickets any time from any SNCF ticket window or boutique. You will need:

1. the reservation number (or code).

2. to present to the agent the same credit card used in the on-line transaction.

Which raises the question in my mind, if you are going to spend the time to go down to the SNCF station at CDG, why not just take the RER into the city?

perhaps because he doesn't want to? I have never done that either, because I don't want to as I have never stayed in a hotel right within walking distance of a RER stop on line B. It's not worth the trouble to me to do it if it involves transfers or going some place and then taking a taxi or whatever other options are needed. Why should everybody have to do the same thing as you would.

When my wife and I travel we take a carry on and a back pack. While they are not that heavy they can be difficult to handle when navigating the metro. That is why we take a shuttle.
