Costa Brava - Help us choose
We will be in the Costa Brava in early September. We have a reservation at Compartir and had planned to stay in Roses. We have been reading that the drive between Roses and Cadaques can be challenging , particularly at night. Is it possible to hire a taxi to drive us both ways? Would it make more sense to stay in Cadaques (which seems to be the more charming of the two towns).
Thanks in advance for your help.

I would stay in Cadaques. We spent a night there in 2010 and absolutely loved it. It is so pretty with its white buildings located on the Mediterranean. Reminded me of a Greek fishing village. I recommend visiting Dali's home in nearby Port Lligat. It's very quirky! You need to make reservations.

Cadaques might have been our favorite stop in 2018. We stayed at the Hotel Tarongeta which was well-located. Our room was huge and clean. I think the hotel had parking in the back also. I would go back in a heartbeat. The Dali house was fantastic as well.

Jumping into this thread—thanks for the suggestion. I’ll be on Costa Brava in September and have just booked at Cadaques based on your reco. Looks better than Tossa del Mar where I had previously intended to stay.
Muchas Gracias!
