Dad, Mom, 24-year-old daughter, 18-year-old son Turkey in August. Ideas?

Hello,
We've decided to go to Turkey in August for 2-3 weeks. We've traveled a lot and are familiar with getting into a town without having booked a place to stay. We like to visit the usual tourist sites, and we also like to see the local things that don't draw the tourist buses.

I'd love to get ideas of what you'd suggest.

We're flying out of Seattle.

Thanks!

Erik

Bear in mind that Turkey is a very popular holiday destination for Europeans and especially for Russians. August is peak school holiday time so I would look into booking in advance if I were you.
