My husband and I will be in London at the end of May. As we will have large luggage and we are in our 60's, we want to take a shuttle, instead of the tube, to our hotel. Someone recommended "Dot2Dot London Shuttle". Has anybody out there had any experience with "Dot2Dot"?

Since in your previous post you metioned you will have lots of luggage and may not fit in a regular car service, I suppose Dot2Dot is a good solution. It sounds like they will assist with loading your luggage onto the van. Just note that since it's a shared van shuttle, there's a chance you *may* be the last customer to be dropped off, which can mean a long time circling around London for other pax to be dropped off.

For a single passenger Dot2Dot is excellent. However for two, a limo (Just Airports) will be cheaper depending on the luggage capacity of the vehicle. Assuming you are both not bringing steamer trunks, the limo should be fine.

Car service option was offered to the OP in that previous thread, but due to the amount of luggage, she doesn't think the car service can accomodate all the suitcases.

Therefore, Dot2Dot is the next best option, which will fit all their luggage plus assist with loading/unloading the luggage as well, for a moderate price.

To add to my previous post, I have always been happy with Dot2Dot...courteous drivers who will help with luggae etc. As yk mentioned it is possible that you could be the last person dropped off, but Dot2Dot says there are only three drop offs per vehicle, so it shouldn't be a problem. I always thought it was nice to just relax and have a bit of a tour of London. That said, I have almost always been the first to be dropped off.

You can check with Just Airports letting them know how much luggage you actually have, and they might suggest a mini van...more expensive, of course, but may be close to the price of two people on Dot2Dot. It's difficult to make a suggestion without knowing exactly what you mean by "large luggage".

Sorry yk I didn't know about the previous post. I still think she should check the prices on a larger vehicle from Just Airports. I really have no idea how it would compare to two people on Dot2Dot. If the price difference isn't too much, I'd go with car service. Otherwise Dot2Dot would work fine.

Well I just went back to read the OP and all I can say is I think I've wasted my time in trying to give advice. That much luggage for a trip to that many places is insane. In my youth I used to travel with a 26" expandable and a small carry on and that was a hassle. There is no way at the age of sixty and even being in excellent health (triathlete etc.) that I could or would take that much luggage on a trip. Everyone is correct in saying that all you NEED is a 21" and possibly a small back pack.

Only options are paying the price for an estate wagon/mini van or using Dot2Dot, but even they may have reasonable limits on the amount of luggage they can accomodate. I'd check with them before booking.
