"Nous ferons notre possible pour vous donner une chambre avec vue."
I'm so rusty with verb tense and my French verb book is at my office. Is my request for a room with a view confirmed or is he saying he will try at check-in?

"French in Action"--a cheesy but actually very useful series of television programs used for instruction in many universities (including the one I went to). Comes on PBS stations, also available to watch online at http://www.learner.org/resources/series83.html
It's SO cheesy but it really helps me with my accent and with listening comprehension. I check it out once in a while just to keep my skills up.

A handy online tool that I use is AltaVista Babel Fish Translation.

DejaVu - where can you "watch" it on line. I went to the website you posted and they listed broadcast dates (not till June 2006) and I found information on buying the DVDs (about $500) but nothing else. I'd love to find a site with more than just some translation. Anyone know of one?

French in Action wouldn't help you with that phrase, nor a verb tense book as it is an idiom. The tense of the verb faire isn't the thing you might not know in that sentence or that is so crucial, but the idiom of "faire notre possible pour .... " which means to try our utmost to do something.
