Frankfurt FRA to Hahn airport
We are considering taking advantage of Ryanair's cheap flights to Italy from Frankfurt. Our flight from Orlando arrives at 1 p.m. in Frankfurt. What do you all think about catching a flight from the Hahn airport down to Italy? I think there is a bus from one to the other at 3:15 to 4:45. How far away is the Hahn airport, and what town is closest? Rome flight leaves at 7:55. Makes for a long day, any thoughts?

The reference library of a city near you may have the Thomas Cook European Timetable. Table 5 says that Hahn airport is 120 kilometers or 105 minutes from Frankfurt main station. There are also busses from Bingen 60 minutes from Hahn airport and Koblenz 70 minutes.

thanks--I had looked already at the bus schedule, just wondering about anyone's more personal experience. I checked out a site with opinions about ryanair and Hahn and am not so sure about using them...
