Not as well traveled as some, but I'm fortunate to have traveled the following:
North America: USA (home!) and Canada
Europe: UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy
Africa: Tunisia
Asia: Taiwan, Japan

I have lofty aims to increase this number by at least 3 next year (it's called wishful thinking), but we'll see how my budget works!

I think it's 33 total. (More foreign travel than U.S. states)
North America: 5
Europe: 21
Africa: 2
Mid-East: 1
Far East: 3
Pacific: 1

Maybe it's cheating, but I counted the Vatican, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii separately. Also counted tiny Liechtenstein.

Wow...I am definitely not feeling as well travelled as I once thought--a lot of you have been everywhere. Great inspiration.

For me it is 15 countries in Europe, plus Mexico, Venezuela, and Canada. I live in the US, have probably seen 80% of it including my favorite, Hawaii. (Although for beach vacations Hawaii ties with Greece in my book, just harder for me to get to!)

God bless us all
20+ in my travelling career. This weekend I'm going to Netherlands/Belgium for a long weekend. In 2 weeks I go to Beijing. Then it's Bahamas for Christmas.
It's all leisure travel.
Keep on flying...it's good for the soul

23 countries; 5 continents. I really can't include my six hours at Narita Airport? Damn.

Favorites:

France (10x)
Spain (2x)
Greece
China -- er, well, Hong Kong
Egypt
Brazil
Portugal
Belgium (underrated country)
Czech Republic

Enjoyed myself immensely:

Germany (2x)
Austria
Canada (5x)
Switzerland (3x)
Turkey
Monaco
Ireland
England (3x)

Eh, I was sort of disappointed:

The Netherlands

I have issues:

Italy (2x)
Argentina
Mexico
Hungary

I don't have a category for this, really:

Vatican City

UK, Germany, Slovakia, Netherlands, Italy (Sardinia only besides the airport). Give me a couple more months and I'll have added Italy properly, Austria, more of Germany, France, and hopefully Belgium and/or Spain and Portugal and/or Ireland. That makes 5 so far, up to 10 by June.

Most of South America came from when I worked for Braniff in the early 1970s. Also while working for Braniff I rode PanAm 1 and Pan Am 2 around the world which actually adds a some countries (India and Burma for example) that I didn't include in the list per the poster's critera.
