Getting to Montepulciano from Rome and Florence

Currently, here is how to get to Montepulciano from Rome and Florence by public transportation:

FROM ROME:

Depart Rome Termini (or Tiburtina) to Chiusi Scalo Station by Trenitalia Regionale Train at 6:43 or 8:43 or at 2-hour intervals thereafter: 9 Euros and 110 minutes;

Depart Chiusi Scalo Station to Montepulciano bus depot by LFI bus at 8:40 (NOT on Sundays) or 11:25 (daily), or later: 2.40 Euros and 50 minutes.

FROM FLORENCE:

Depart Florence SMN Station to Chiusi Scalo Station by Trenitalia Regionale train at 6:40 or later: 9.30 Euros and 120 minutes (travel times vary);

Depart Chiusi Scalo Station to Montepulciano bus depot by LFI bus at 8:40 (NOT on Sundays) or 11:25 (daily), or later: 2.40 Euros and 50 minutes.

NOTES: Study the LFI bus schedules carefully for Sunday and School Day schedules. The LFI bus departs from outside the Chiusi Scalo train station: walk left across the square as you exit the station front doors. Bus tickets sold at the newsstand inside the station. Stow heavy luggage in the underfloor hold. Once at the Montepulciano bus depot, there are local city buses to Piazza Grande, or you can take the elevators across the road (under the small modern arch) to the public gardens near the main northern town gate (Porta al Prato). The Chiusi Scalo (aka Chiusi-Chianciano Terme) train station has a manned ticket window open from 6:30 to 20:00 Monday through Saturdays, and reduced hours on Sundays; also automated ticket machine, bar, newsstand, waiting room, but NO luggage storage. If coming from Rome Fiumicino Airport, connecting at Tiburtina rather than Termini Station is easier.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is stuff you can't find in a guide book. I'm printing this out for our trip in Jan.
