Girona Airport From Barcelona
We are planning a trip to Spain and was wondering how difficult it would be to get to the Girona Airport from Barcelona. Does anyone know the cost and the amount of time that it would require?

Hi,
I think you have 2 choices :-
1)Take the train from Barcelona Sants or Plaza de Catalunya to Girona and then get a bus from Girona bus station (which is immediately opposite the train station)
Details are available on the Rennfe site under Commuter section for Barcelona.
Allow about 1hr45mins for train then say 30 mins for bus to airport.
Cost 4 Euros for train then 1 Euro for bus to airport.
2)Get a bus from centre of Barcelona to Girona airport.
Cost and time details are avaible on Ryanair.com website as the buses connect to their flights.
Hope this helps

Hi Scoobydoo, we'll take a fly from Barcelona to Rome with Ryanair, so we've checked a lot for information about getting the Girona airport.
There's a Ryanair bus, single ticket is 9E and retunr ticket is 16E.

http://www.ryanair.com/destinfo03/de...celona_bus.pdf (bus timetable)
The bus take 1:10min; we don't know wich is better, bus or train (we already have an eurail pass), but our fly is at 8:45am, so I think we'll take the bus.
Hope this information helps you!!!!

Scoobydoo:
Girona itself is a really lovely town. Try to spend a few hours there at the beginning or end of your trip.
