Great Florence B&B
B&B In Piazza della Signoria
I just returned home from a fabulous vacation in Italy where we hit several cities. I must report about an incredible B&B we stayed at in Florence. They have made a repeat customer out of me.
The name is the B&B In Piazza della Signoria. It is in the same Piazza as the Uffizi, Great location, easy to find and easy to get to while navigating Florence. When you first arrive at the B&B you are welcomed into their living room with a TV, stereo, English book library and a huge kitchen table. You feel like a part of the family right away. There is a beautiful breakfast room, internet computer and full use of the kitchen 24 hours a day. The place has 10 rooms and a few small apartments. The rooms are large and spacious with huge bathrooms with great showers.
They gave us excellent dinner recommendations like Ristorante Leo, where you are treated to a traditional Italian meal. Overall, this place helped me enjoy my vacation even more. It was relaxing to know that when you got home you could grab a book and a soda and not have to be in your room the whole time.
This place is a MUST VISIT

Good to hear it. We're staying there for a couple of nights in December. The rooms on the website were beautiful, which is what won me over. The price (for me anyway) was a little steep but it seemed the location was perfect and again, the rooms looked amazing. Also, everytime I emailed them, they promptly replied with language that made it seemed we were old friends. A reply email I recently rec'd when I reconfirmed my reservation, started with "Sandi, so good to hear from you again!"

From their website: http://www.inpiazzadellasignoria.com/
it looks like the rates for a double room run from € 200 to € 260 ( http://www.inpiazzadellasignoria.com...ino_prezzi.htm )

Absolutely true. I did a lot of checking months ago though for our Christmas trip and found that anything above a 2* and was close to the Piazza were expensive, for both high-season and location reasons. I chose this because we're traveling with my parents and I thought the room were simple but elegant and we only had 2 days in Florence so I wanted them to be able to easily get to the places they wanted to see.
