Has anyone else stopped using their real email address since "artistdavid" mined fodors for his junk mail list?

Tom: "The guy's just trying to make a living"???? So is a mugger. I'm under no obligation whatsoever to provide "the guy" access to me, and I consider spamming and junk mail nothing less than metastasis of our communication system. Have you already forgotten what happened to Yahoo and some other services when someone set up a virus to flood them with mail? Brought everything there to a standstill. You couldn't have gotten to a delete key if you were in the middle of it.

I'll put up with having to hit the delete key once or twice or even 10 times in a single day, maybe. But I get about 20 messages I have to act on each day, and if they're buried in 40 spam/junk messages, it is a real problem. I don't owe anyone or any organization that kind of power over my time.
