Has anyone taken EasyJet or BMI from Edinburgh to London?
I've already booked my Europe trip this Sept. and am just tying up lose ends by booking travel between my destinations. I was going to take the train from Edinburgh to London with a BritRail pass, but can't get over how much less expensive flying seems to be. It's almost too good to be true! Has anyone ever flown with BMI or EasyJet from Edinburgh to London? How was it and did you find it to be a good value or were there lots of hidden costs? I've never flown before, so am a little nervous about this whole trip in general. Thanks!

We flew BMI from London to Heathrow and return. We were very impressed with BMI and told them so. Excellent customer service. We booked online and there were no hidden charges - we paid exactly what their website indicated. We paid GBP 200.70 for 3 of us (return). For those flying from London to Edinburgh, there is a great airbus with frequent pickups from the airport with delivery to Waverly Station and other stops in Edinburgh.

Hi Joy
I have flown easyjet from London to Amsterdam and found the crew friendly and service good. You can book over the internet and the sooner you do, the cheaper the price. They give you an e-ticket that you present to the person at the airport. Is is no frills travel, but who cares for a short flight. Check out their website (not sure of the address, but just google it)
Hope you have a great trip!

I have flown on BMI twice but from LHR to Rome return. At least the service and the aircraft were very good. I don't know about BA but the BA flights we had from San Francisco to London and returning were not good (just my opinion).

I've flown EasyJet from London to Edinburgh and back, and found it to be considerably cheaper than travelling by land. Although you spend a bit more time on your trip trapped in an airport, I would recommend flying between the two cities.

Thanks for all the advice! I think I'm going to go ahead and book the BMI flight for Edinburgh to London. EasyJet and BMI seem to cost about the same, but BMI gets into Heathrow (closer to my hotel than Gatwick or Luton). Sounds like it seems to have gone well for everyone else, hopefully I'll follow the trend!
