I agree re: going on without money as a sort of useless penalty. What about allowing other racers or even MC to assign them to the worse of the two RoadBlock or other tasks, taking away their Yield if they haven't used it yet, or adding an extra task?

Yeah, the taking the money thing does seem to be sort of pointless. I don't remember it being a big slowdown anywhere. If people can come up with money in Senegal and Calcutta, Shanghai shouldn't be a problem.
Hmm, actually... we may have found a way to make vacations much easier to afford. Give my wife a big fake TV camera and we could travel the world expense free.

I can't believe I'm so pumped up over a TV program (a reality show at that), but I am! The night is finally here and very soon we'll know who the new millionaires are. Look forward to everyone's posts when the show is over. Meanwhile I have two enormous artichokes to prepare for dinner! See you later tonight!

I am so disappointed! Guess it's true, good guys come in last--or in this case second. I could't stand either Freddie or Kendra with her choking and whining, and obnoxious comments everywhere they went, and Freddie who asks a cop in a patrol car to lead the way to the pit stop.
I don't know if I can take another one. Every race I've watched some jerk won. Guess I'll watch an episode or two in March and take it from there.
Good night all. Looking forward to your opinions tomorrow.

don't like it, but Freddy and kendra were the most even throughout the race. jon and kris simply didn't seem as sharp as them. and the "little ones" never even had a chance. they must have set a record w/ the number of last place finishes to make the final 3.
can't wait to see boston rob and amber...should be interesting as normally you know none of the contestants before the race begins...3 weeks and back at it again (boy that sounds sad, but it's a tuesday night).

Boo, it's over and I'm so bummed that Kris and Jon did not win. I have to admit that I shed major tears in tonight's finale (3 different bawl fests for each of the loving couple speeches and marriage proposal). I am such a sap. Please tell me I was not alone in that? It is unfortunate that Kendra and Freddy were the ultimate winners when she was so obnoxious. She is so retarded with the food challenges, choking and almost vomiting from 2 slices of pizza, get over it! Anyways, can't wait til next season in three weeks. Hope the couples are a little more interesting and likable this time.

Yikes. One minute Aaron looks like he's going to throw Hayden off the mountain, the next he's proposing marriage.
I wanted Kris and Jon to win. I'm depressed. I don't know if I'll watch the next one or not.
I think I'll go check out televisionwithoutpity.com and see if there's a good raking over the coals to ease my pain.
And thanks all you east coasters for being respectful of our time difference!

I am also so disappointed in the winners. I was cheering for Kris and Jon but of all of the last four teams, I would have been happy if anyone of them would have won except Freddy and Kendra. I do agree that Kris and Jon didn't seem quite as sharp, probably just really tired. I guess the good thing about this race being over is we won't be subject to Kendra's ignorant statements. Now next week at the same time, we can watch Dr. Phil counsel Jonathan and Victoria!!!

I'm depressed too. I'm going to blame Kris and Jon not winning on that American Airlines ticket person who told them the AA flight arrived earliest in Chicago. I'll never fly AA again! They are just the best couple and seem to be so well matched. I can't think of anything polite to say about Freddie and Kendra, so I'll say nothing.
Aaron proposed to Hayden? I was sure he'd dump her as soon as it was over.
Oh well, three weeks to recover. I think they'll kill the show with over-exposure.

Color me disappointed too! At the end, Kris and Jon needed to kick it up a notch, but didn't seem to be able to do it.
I will be watching the next race because, although I'm not crazy about Rob and Amber being on it and don't want to see them win, I'd like to seem them stay until close to the end because they will be entertaining! My main reason for watching though is because Ronald Young, Chief Warrant Officer and pilot who's helicopter was shot down, and one of the seven POW's who were rescued in Iraq, will be competing! After seeing him interviewed several times after the rescue, I know he's gonna be my favorite because he's such a nice young man.

Watched the AR finalists on the CBS Morning Show this morning. The host took great pleasure in snippping off devil-mans horns!!!
They said that the next AR after the one starting in March will be families of 4 - interesting twist.

Boo to Freddie and Kendra. It should have been Kris and Jon - I was so impressed with their wonderful attitudes the whole way through!
Can't believe Aaron proposed. I thought for sure they'd break up after the race. And I was secretly hoping Jon would pop the question to Kris.
My favorite comment of the night was in the very beginning, when Phil was summing up each couple. When describing Adam and Rebecca, he said something about how Adam "was afraid of just about eveything he came in contact with." LOL! And speaking of Adam, on The Early Show this morning, one of the hosts whipped out a pair of scissors and clipped his antennae off.
As for the next season, I'll still be watching. Yes, some of these contestants are embarrassing and annoying, but I can't get enough of the beautiful scenery and cultures we get to see, even if we have to put up with the drama and idiotic comments. Thanks to The Amazing Race, I have bumped up Hungary and China on my must-visit list!
