Hotel in Barcelona
I am looking for hotels in Barcelona that are centrally located for ease of sightseeing and restaurants and also somewhat reasonable. We will be spending 4 nights there before boarding ship for a Mediterranean cruise.

My husband and I stayed at the Avenida Palace Hotel, not sure what the rate is right now but it is very nice and it is close to La Rambla, very clean and breakfast is really good. Everytime I recomend this hotel
my friends call me to tell me how nice it was staying there.

Hello from Detroit
I was just in Barcelona and I stayed at the Melia Tryp Apolo. It's in the middle of everything. It's a very nice Hotel, spotless, good service and one of the best breakfast buffet I had while touring Europe.
I will say the only drawback was the noise. The street noise was awful. But it seems like the whole city is noisy.
I did find a paradise in the middle of the city. A park. Designed like an English Garden. I wanted to stay for says there. I truly Loved the design and the Gaudi house there. I especailly liked having a coffee while looking over the city.
Next door and across the street from the Hotel Tryp Apolo are good restaurants too.
Good Luck and I'm sure You'll love spain.
