Hotel near Charles de Gaulle Airport

Our travel plans will require that we stay one night at a hotel near CDG. Which hotel would you recommend?

I stayed at the Sofitel Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport Roissy (Accor Group). It has a shuttle and is only about 5 mins from CDG. I did a last minute internet booking a couple of days before arriving at CDG.

Very nice, probably the nicest, hotel I have ever stayed at in Paris area. Absolutely the most comfy bed. Good bountiful breakfast also. I paid 120E couple of years ago.

There are Ibis, Novotel, and Pullman hotels located along the free CDGVAL train. Travel time is just minutes to any terminal from any of these hotels.

There is also a Sheraton in Terminal 2.

For the above and many more, google the name of the town nearest to the airport, Roissy, in combination with the word hotel.

I, too, have had very good experiences at the Marriott CDG - have stayed there several times.
Their weekend rates are better than weekdays.
I also have stayed at the Hilton, which was fine, too. I got that through Priceline, bidding for a 4-star at the Airport. Got a terrific rate that way.

www.accorhotels.com for a nice modern hotel in your price range - several like Novotel, Ibis, ETAP- descending order of price but all decent enough if looking for a clean modern roof over your head.

Ones in the airport much more pricey i believe.

We like to use Priceline to bid on an airport hotel. We've done this lots of times in London. In Paris, in 2008 we bid $118 for a 4-star in the airport zone and got the CDG Airport Sheraton. The Sheraton website price was $288 at the time. The hotel is located in the airport, so it was very convenient.

biddingfortravel.com has more info. I would not bid 3-star in the Paris airport zone based on information given here.
