Sabrina, there was a post within the past couple of weeks asking about St Christophe, but I can't locate it now. I am booked there, in a double, for October. It was listed on www.hotelboulevard.com with mostly favorable remarks, but that website is no longer around. My double is 123 Euro, so your deal including the passes seems to be a fair one. I think we will be OK here.
These are a couple of the very few comments I could find, if it will help.
Copied from a posting from Elaine's file:
Sept 2000: Residence St Christophe
"a small clean hotel in a good area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nearest metro was Rue Monge, walking distance to Notre Dame. Rooms very small, but that's to be expected." (elaine's note: "Cheap Sleeps in Paris" mentioned that the rooms are pleasant, the bathrooms good (tubs OR showers, by the way, apparently not both)and the staff very friendly. It has an elevator, hairdryers in the rooms.
More on it from International Travel News, Jan 01
"Room was postage-stamp size but clean and comfortable. not suitable for a person who needs much space to hang and store clothes..rate includes continental breakfast."
From another post:
Author: Maira ([email protected])
Date: 01/20/2001, 09:18 am
Message: There are two hotels in Paris that I strongly recommend; Hotel Muguet on the 7th Arrd. and Hotel St. Christophe in the Latin Quarter. Hotel Mugiet has been reviewed countless times on this board. . . .St. Christophe was a very charming, small hotel. The staff at the St. Christophe was also very courteous and friendly, walking distance to many sights. . . .
That rate isn't too bad, no apparent discount, but you didn't get gouged (the two passes are worth about US$50, maybe US$75 if the Paris Visite is for 5 zones; the shuttle is probably worth about US$25 RT--so that's $75-100). It looks pretty close to what you'd pay yourself for a single room (which I think are about 110 euro there).

But, I really wanted to tell you I know that area pretty well and like it a lot -- it's a great spot for a single person in Paris, lots of nice small cafes nearby, ethnic restaurants, pubs, lively folks, etc.--and it's close to the Seine and the things you'll want to do and see, and a metro stop.

I have stayed at the St-Christophe twice. It's a good hotel for the price & in a good location. No A/C (at least 2 years ago), but nice bathroom. Close to Cardinal Lemoyne Metro. If your going in the summer, ask for a room in the back.
