How many days in Prague?
#21
I don't know much about Czech history, this is great stuff.>>
we had an interesting confrontation with czech history on our arrival in Prague. Seeking a beer, we stepped into the bar which had been pointed out to us by our taxi-driver when he dropped us off, only to be confronted with what looked suspiciously like a bust of Stalin. somewhat nonplussed,we went up to the bar and ordered our beers; on turning round we spotted a picture of Vaclav Havel. clearly they were hedging their bets!
sadly we never found this bar again. we stayed at the hotel central which was just as it said, but seemed to move round every time we left it as it never seemed to be in the same place when we came back. or perhaps it was just anexcess of beer.
