Ininerary Advice? Bavaria, Cesky Krumlov, Salzburg where else
Planning a trip around Bavaria and sourrounding cities. We have 4 days in Munich and then will rent a car for 6 days of travelling around Bavaria and the sourrounding area. We are intersted in...
1. probably 2 days in Cesky Krumlov (other places around there that we should see?).
2. Journey on to Salzburg and spend 2 days there as well.
3. Go to castle area and stay at Garmisch or fussen or some other town. Is Neuschwaistein worth it. Is there other fun stuff to do in the area.
I was considering Regensberg. Any advice on that.
I am interested on finding some nice/easy hikes that I can go on with my 6 yr old and husband also. Also interested in cable car rides or otherwise in the mountains. I read about a few but now I cannot find where they were.
Thanks!

You're visiting some of our favorites. But with 10 days, I'd probably split my time differently. Cesky Krumlov well worth a vist, but so is Prague and you're so close. And we could spend weeks in Munich, but I'd consider something like: 3 days Munich, 2 days Prague, 1 day (and night in Cesky Krumlov, 2 days in Salzburg, 2 days Garmisch/Fussen and/or Regensberg.
All of Ludwig's castles are worth seeing IMO. They are each quite different and have their own appeal. Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, Herrenchiemsee.

With only 10 days I would pick only 3 destinations total. If Munich is one, then the others need to be the castle country and the Salzkammergut. I would stay in St. Gilgen and day trip to Salzburg and to Hallstatt from there.

I also think you should split your time differently. My absolute favorite place is Cesky Krumlov but since you don't have alot of time I would spend 1 day and night there and spend at least 2 in Prague. We spent 3 in Prague alone and it was not enough. There is so much to see there and it's a great city. Cesky Krumlov is absolutely beautiful and the Castle and Castle garden are awesome. Pay extra for the castle keep and go all way to the top for a spectacular view.

Hi Jen,
You might find the Salzburg/Fuessen part of my trip report useful.

I think that I would stay in Bavaria and do CK and Prague another trip.
