Hi coral22 - so sorry for the delayed response. Somehow I missed your message and am just now seeing it.
Your note and similar responses re: renting a car in Milan, has convinced us to switch our plans from renting a car to hiring a private transfer. We just decided that today so I still need to find and secure a private Xfer.
I”ll be reaching out to Chiara and Withlocal tomorrow.
thank you, much appreciated.

Hi All - does anyone have a recommendation of small winery tours ( including tastings and lunch/dinner) in the vicinity of montepulciano/montacino? For reference, we are staying in San Quirico d’ Orcia at the Palazzo del Capitano. We will have a rental car so can either drive ourselves or if there’s a private tour guide that is recommended, we could consider that instead.
Also, does anyone have any feedback or opinions about Bagno Vignoni hot springs? Is it worthy of a visit? I realize it’s personal preference but given the plethora of things to do in the vicinity, I’m curious where this ranks on people’s must-see lists.
Thank you, in advance, for your help.

You can rent a car in Milan and drop it off near Florence, like in Siena. Major car rental companies like Hertz, Avis, and Europcar offer this service.
Hotel Kraft has a rooftop pool and great views, but the decor is a bit old. Palazzo Alfieri Residenza D’Epoca on the other hand is more luxurious but might be more expensive.
For private walking tours, you may contact Walks of Italy, or LivItaly Tours.

Hi FarleyJo - thanks for the note back. I already booked Palazzo Alfieri Residenza D’Epoca so I especially appreciate your note on that point as it confirms I made the right choice. 👍
