Itinerary Questions...Prague and then Berlin & then???
I am planning a trip by myself, leaving from Prague then to Berlin. Was thinking Brussels next, but it seems like a long treck...any good recommendations for stops in between, or a different route? Open to any suggestions!! Also, how long should I spend in Berlin...never been but very excited to go!

Prague and Berlin are both wonderful! How long to stay, and what locations to add, depend on your interests. Are you committed to starting in Prague? Some people recommend Vienna - Prague - Berlin, or Budapest - Vienna - Prague - Berlin.

I will be in Vienna for 3 days and then Prague for 4 with my friend before heading off to Berlin by myself. I will definately consider Dresden - any thoughts on a stopoff between Berlin & Brussels though?? I'd really like to get over to Brussels, but the train ride is 8 hours, and I could do with a night or two somewhere or at least a day trip in between..

Berlin-Brussels stopover typically is Cologne. Though not a spectacular stop, it has an impressive cathedral with a somewhat interesting museum & large shopping area nearby. You can do it as a day stop if you're not into it.
If you want a more interesting city you may consider Hamburg or Amsterdam though a bit off tangent. If you are looking for charming small towns, then you should consider those in the Harz mountain area: Quedlinburg, Wernigerode, Goslar.

In answer to your question about Berlin, I spent five days with my two oldest children this summer and felt we saw the highlights. It's a great city. I'm assuming from your name that you're a college student and I would highly recommend Brewer's walking tours (http://www.brewersberlintours.com) which is geared toward college students. It meets at Friedrichstrasse station and it's eight hours but worth every minute.
I also recommend visiting the Villa Wansee as well as the Sachsenhausen Memorial outside of Berlin. Ironcially they are on the exact opposite ends of the S-bahn 1 and you could do both in one day if you start early. It's a very interesting to juxtapose those two visits.
My daughter is also at FSU--her roommate's name is Megan and she's studying abroad right now--you're not the same Megan are you!?

Megan, I forgot to mention that we stayed in a wonderful pension that would be very safe and affordable for a single traveler. The name is Hotel-Pension Bregenz and is just off the Ku-dam and owned by a young couple who were extremely helpful.
