It seems that Gordon Brown has reduced us Brits from the staycations of last year to the daycations of this year. Cornwall is probably a long day trip for most.
I don't think we are bothering BAA again this year". The hastle at the airports (still recovering from T5 in Feb)and the July/August prices just mean "we can't be bothered". This is our first ever year of experiencing life with a school holiday bound 5 year old. All of a sudden those rentals we usually use become £3000 a week rather than £600 in late September.
It is all the talk of the dinner parties but with the euro/pound, cost of flights and our promised heatwave is Europe really worth it? They don't even serve mushy peas or warm beer!
