Leaving for Nice tomorrow, need info
Hello folks.
Tomorrow I'll be heading off to Nice - thanks everyone for their advice.
I had a quick question. We need to get from the Nice airport to our hotel. Our hotel in Juan les Pins is one block from the train station, so I was thinking that taking the train from Nice to Juan les Pins would be the way to go.
Where is the train station in Nice in relation to the airport? Will we need to cab it to the train station? Also, would it just be easier to take a cab the whole way and how much would that be.
Also, do cabs take credit cards? Thanks.

There is a nifty little minibus that runs between the airport and the train station. It costs practically nothing.
I've only taken it the other way, so I'm not sure where you buy tickets at the airport. But it's probably pretty obvious, or you can ask.

Hi Nola:
I’ll be in Nice at the end of September and from my research, particularly from many of threads on here and the instructions that I was given by the company whom I’m renting from, it's very easy and I think very inexpensive to take the bus from the airport into Nice. I understand taxis are very expensive in Nice even if you’re going a short distance.
The Airport Shuttle bus cost 4 euros to the train station which departs from platform 1 at Terminal 1 and platform 5 at Terminal 2. Except in the late evening the bus runs every 20 minutes. Simple!
There’s an Express bus 98 that runs into Nice city centre main Bus Station and Express bus 99 to Nice Centre Ville Train Station, departing from quai 5 and 4, respectively, which are found just outside the Arrivals Hall in Terminal 2. Cross the road and turn right for about 50 metres. Time tables and routes for the 98 and 99 are here. If you have no change (4 euros one way) for the bus driver, you can pay for your ticket or change a note at a small kiosk/ticket office opposite the bus quais.
From Terminal 1, for example, you can catch the ordinary ligne dazur bus number 23 into Nice city centre for 1,30 euros, there is a free shuttle bus ('navette') connecting the two Terminals, although you could easily walk it with hand luggage.
Hope this helps and enjoy your trip to Nice and post your experience when you return.
