Levanto, Cinque Terre

Hello again--

Looking to see if anyone has stayed in Levanto as a base for the Cinque Terre...: Thinking of Levanto--looking at Villa Valentina---is this too far from the center and transportation? We're just using trains/buses.

We'll be there October15-18th 2019. Just 2 adults.

Many thanks!

No idea about the specific lodging, but Levanto is a reasonable place to stay to visit the CT. Just a few minutes north of the first CT town by train.

We stayed in Levanto 6 years ago. I really liked it as a base for the CT - very quiet and relatively flat after all the hills of the CT. There weren’t many tourists there when we stayed but it may be different now. There seemed to mainly be locals everywhere we went in the town.

Levanto is a short train ride from any of the Cinque Terre towns. We stayed there some years ago and it was absolutely fine.

We stayed at the Oasi Hotel. It was okay and in town so convenient to the station and restaurants.

Villa Valentina is definitely too far from the center w/o a car and the surroundings are rather rural. We use two ways to evaluate location besides reviews - use Google Street View to look at the actual streets around the hotel, and look at a TripAdvisor map to see how far you will be from restaurant locations.
