Is there a hotel near this station that is comfortable, affordable and decent? In the past we have pretty much stayed near Luxembourg Gardens, finding it a great place to unwind from our trip.

This year we will be training out of Gare Lyon, and would appreciate hearing from you about decent hotels in the area....within walking distance.

Check Hotel Terminus Lyon on TripAdvisor. I haven't stayed there, but it came up often in my research. It is opposite the Gare de Lyon.

We've stayed at the Terminus. It's fine, & the price is right. Staff was very helpful in figuring out the best way to get us to CDG early Sunday morning.

Don't miss dinner at Train Bleu at the gare.

accorhotels.com has an IBIS (or perhaps Novotel) right opposite the station to the north.

I stayed at the Novotel Gare de Lyon (14 years ago when it was brand new) It is very close to the the Gare and very pleasant.
