Mosel Restaurants
Does anyone have recommendations for restaurants in the Mosel? We will be staying at Haus Lipmann and will definitely try their restaurant. We will be meeting our son and his wife, as well as our daughter, and we will want to take them to a nice restaurant. Any ideas??

We had a nice lunch on the patio at Hotel Lohspicher in Cochem.
The special that day was Zweibelkuchen (a delicious onion pie) that we had with a glass of young wine called Federweinber.
If you're in Beilstein on Friday or Saturday night, don't forget to go to the place in back of the Haus Lipmann; the Zehnthauskeller (owned by Herr Lipmann's brother-in-law). I killed many brain cells there drinking some fruited liquor concoction while singing Take Me Home Country Roads with 200 of my closest German friends.

Wren, I might be too late with this recommendation, but there is a wonderful restaurant on the outskirts of Cochem: Moselromantikhotel Weissmuehle Enderttal, Tel. 02671/9707. Delicious food and wonderful service - Dinner for two with wine 87 Euro.

Why, what personalized service, Tom...Prost! I hope he ordered a lot...since it sounds like most of the beer has been drained by the Brits!
Thank you, Miriam...I will check these recommendations out!

We had some of the best warm apple strudel at the Burg Metternick Hotel Restaurant just a few steps away from the Haus Lipmann. Really awesome.
Also, the restaurant at the Altes Zollhaus next door to Haus Lipmann was very good.
