New Orleans - Good condition, good price hotel in the French Quarter?

Following the ravages of Katrina, we are not sure how hotels have fared in the Big Easy.

We will be there beginning of April. Can anyone suggest a moderately priced clean hotel with Internet access in the French Quarter?

Any comments on the Le Richilieu, which is one hotel we are considering?

Any help would be appreciated.

First - I recommend you repost this on the US board in order to get more responses.

Second - the tourist areas of New Orleans (French Quarter, Garden District) have been up and running for a while now.

I can't help you with the hotel, but I know others can.

Go and have fun! It's a great city!

Le Richelieu is a great hotel, and the reviews in tripadvisor are pretty good. Another advantage is this hotel has parking, which is hard to come by in the French Quarter.

Things are pretty much back to normal in New Orleans.
