One day left in Selcuk and considering Bergama
We have one day left in Selcuk, after having visited the Ephesus site today. We were considering visiting Pergamon tomorrow but wondered:
1) Whether a 70+ year old can cope with visiting the site given its steepness etc
2) What the best way to visit the site is, given that we don't have a car, and need to be back in Selcuk that night, where our hotel is.
(We were told by our hotel that a taxi for the day would be 260, which is something we would not even consider).
Thanks for your advice.

In Selçuk proper there is the Isa Bey mosque
and the St. John Basilica ruins
Selçuk also has a museum exhibiting items found in Ephesus
Fodor's Turkey guidebook mentions Șirince (5 mi. east of Selçuk) as worthy of a visit.
