Paris Jazz Festival in May?

I'm visiting Paris the last two weeks in May. I have found websites about The Paris Jazz Festival, but I can't read French. Can anyone living in Paris give me information about the festival?

I guess there are no Parisians with an interest in jazz on the forum this evening. Perhaps if Saul were to ask specific questions, those of us with some facility in reading French could look at the web site and provide him an answer.

I checked the Parist Tourist Office website and found the following (not much).
Part of the Foire de Paris 2002. A different style of jazz every day thanks to the best French jazz players: discover new talents in French jazz (30th April), Guitar fete (2nd May), Gypsy day (4th May)... Cuban rhythms and salsa with 'La Manacuba' 3rd May until 10pm.
Information +33 1 49 09 60 00

PARIS EXPO Parc des Expositions - 1, place de la Porte de Versailles 75015 PARIS www.parisexpo.com

However, there is a note below that saying "Error! Hyperlink reference not valid." Maybe if you did a search on "Foire de Paris" you would learn some more. I'll be glad to help you translate (former French teacher), but I'm going out of town this morning, will be back mid-afternoon. Hope this helps some.

I think you have found the wrong jazz festival, Betty. Its Paris jazz festival, "concerts gratuits tous les samedis et dimanches à 16h30 du 19 mai au 29 juillet - Espace-concert Delta" in parc floral de paris, which you get to via métro line 1, station Château de Vincennes or RER, line A, station Vincennes. See http://www.parcfloraldeparis.com/sommaire.html
You may be right, Ron, especially since the one I found seems to wind up tomorrow. I was in a bit of a hurry this morning and didn't have time to look very carefully.

Saul, in addition to the one I mentionned earlier and the one that Ron is referring to (probably the one you meant) there is also something called "Esprit de Jazz Festival at St. Germain des Pres." Information in English can be found on all of these at http://www.paris-touristoffice.com/index_va.html
Click on Events in the Capital, then Bill of the Month. The one Ron refers to is under "Special Event - Festival."
Hope you enjoy the jazz and Paris as a whole.
